Using this website
This website is run by Rhyl Education and Community Centre. We want as many people as possible to be able to use it. That means you should be able to:
- Navigate the whole site using only a keyboard.
- Zoom in up to 200% without text spilling off the screen.
- Use the site with a screen reader.
- Read the content in English, Turkish or Welsh.
- Read text with a colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 against its background.
We have also kept the site simple on purpose: no cookies, no pop-ups, no tracking, and no autoplaying media.
How accessible this website is
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We are not aware of parts of the site that fall short of that standard, but we have not yet had an independent audit carried out. Where we find problems, we fix them.
Some things to be aware of:
- Prayer times are calculated in your browser. If scripts are blocked, the table is replaced with our phone number rather than being left empty.
- Our forms are sent using a third-party service. If that service is unavailable, an error message appears with our phone number so you can reach us another way.
- Some Welsh translations are awaiting review by a professional translator.
Visiting the centre
Our building on 182 Vale Road is a converted chapel and has a step at the main entrance. If you have specific access needs, please contact us before your visit and we will do what we can to help.
